Gait

Brandon Blue

A polo raises its sleeve
out of respect for the neighbor off to work.

A sundress blows on the way to the train
from unwanted whistles.

A white button down abandons
khakis for blue jeans

and walks a bit slower.
Leaning into the back

of the heel,
the yoke of the shirt

wrinkles, the hips
sway. The converse feel

more like manolos;
the blue jeans,

a tea length
skirt.

Brandon Blue: "I am a 21 year old poet and French teacher from Washington, DC."
